Reverb sits in the signal. Nobody gets it back out afterwards, no plug-in either. That is why acoustics come before the equipment list.
And something you only notice on playback: people who are comfortable speak differently. The seating corner with its warm light is part of the recording quality.
For video the lighting can be set to colour, and the screen behind you shows whatever it should show.
